That's another month in the books, and we have officially made it to June! Its kinda weird though, cuz everyone back home is getting out of school, enjoying warm weather, and getting ready for vacations. Here, nothing is changing haha. Everyone is still in school, we are buckling up for winter, and unfortunately I won't be taking any vacations this year haha.
We had a good week though! We were finally able to have a baptism! Her name is Marileidy, and she is the sister of Helen and Daniela. Remember our last Baptism, Helen? Now we baptized her younger sister, its been cool to be able to work with the whole family and introduce them all in the church. Whats even cooler, is that Elder Knight, one of my best friends here in the mission, baptized Daniela, their older sister. So he baptized her, and I've baptized her sisters. Just a little fun fact for you guys haha. But I'll send pics of the baptism in a sec.
Also this week we had a huge zone conference with four or five of the zones here in Cocha. Nothing super special, there are always zone conferences about every three months. But its cool cuz you get to see a bunch of people from the other zones, and the President talks to us, and the assistants give classes about what we can do better, all that good stuff. So I always enjoy them, the only bad thing is that they are usually about 6 or 7 hours long. So its a lot of sitting and listening, but it's cool to learn about how we can do stuff better!
Last Monday was Mothers Day here in Bolivia, so to celebrate, me and my old comp Elder Velasquez met up and we decided to surprise our pensionista, Gaila. So we bought her a cake (peach creme cake) and then went and surprised her during dinner, so that was really cool. She really is an awesome pension. Her family reminds me of ours really. Her husband Juan, is like a Latino version of Dad, and her little girl Emily is EXACTLY like Brooke with her sarcastic comments and all that fun stuff, its almost creepy how similiar they are. Like if Brooke spoke Spanish, they would be twins haha. So it's always fun to go eat dinner there.
Pretty sure that about wraps up this week. Rumor has it that with these next cambios they want to put another companionship of missionaries in our ward. So that would mean me and my comp would split up, both receive new comps, and divide our area, could be interesting! But we won't know until June 16, so we will wait and see!
