Rain Rain Rain

It has like not stopped raining this week!  Its been such nasty weather, not a very good time.  It hasn't rained super hard or anything, but its just been constant.  So in our area where roads don't exist, that's bad news!  So thanks to that, it was quite the slow week.

Here is something crazy that happened though.  So in our area we have a big river that we have to cross.  Its not very big, probably about 60 feet across, and not very deep.  And there are three spread out across our area that we always cross.  Well on Friday, it rained a ton!  Like from 3 in the morning till about 5 in the afternoon, and it was a solid constant rain.  So that river filled up a ton! Eventually, it breached one of the bridges, and totally just took it out!  So that bridge no longer exists, and we are down to two. If the rain takes out those ones, we are hosed haha.  Cuz 90 percent of our area is passing the river, so we would be in trouble haha.  But nuts right?  Its calmed down now, lets hope it stays that way.

In other news we also went to the temple this week as the mission, so that was cool.  I got to meet back up with Roth, who's been out in Potosì for the past 6 months, so it was cool to see him again!

Other than that, quite the slow, cold, wet, windy week.  Today is the first day that the sun has actually peeked out, so that's a nice bonus. Hopefully all is well back home and you are all enjoying your winter!

if I've mentioned him before.  He's from Ogden, is one of the current
assisstants to the Pres, and goes home this transfer! 

After 15 long months, I'm finally retiring my shoes.  They've been busted up like this for a few months haha, but with all the rain and mud and puddles, they just can't keep up any more.  Just wanted you to see what state they were in haha.

FINALLY!  Brandon showed us his shoes (and yes, he was wearing them) on our Christmas Skype call.  He said they were so comfortable and felt like slippers.  I wonder why?!  Don't worry... he has 3 more BRAND NEW shoes that he left on his mission with.  He calls his new shoes "Tanks."
