Don't know whats going on here in Cochabamba, but wildfires are breaking out everywhere! Yesterday, our area caught on fire! It wasn't super close to homes or anything, and we weren't very close to it either, but it was still our area. It was probably about a mile away, but on the mountain that we have in our area. It started out small, but the wind was brutal yesterday, probably about 40 mph all day, and so the fire just burned all the way across the mountain. It was nuts though, you could see the huge flames all the way from where we were, I would say they were about 50 or 60 feet tall at least! It was crazy, but now all the fires are out. Let's hope it stays that way!
Showed up late to internet today cuz in the morning we were busy giving a beating to Zone Alamos in soccer, winning 7-3 haha. But honestly it's better to have internet later, much less stressful and much less of a time constraint!
On Wednesday we had a big conference with all the missionaries here in the city of Cochabamba with Elder Calderòn, a 70 of the area here. It was basically all day in one of the stake centers here in Cocha, but it was really good. We learned a lot of stuff to help us out here, and on top of that it's always fun to get together with the other missionaries.
In other news, I have mastered the Rubix Cube! Believe it or not, but I finally learned how to put that thing together! My comp learned from Elder Allred, our zone leader, and then Chacon taught me! Who would have thought that one of the talents I would learn in the mish is how to put together that cube haha. But I guarantee that me and Chacon are the only companionship in the whole mission where both of us can put together a Rubix Cube. Random I know, but its news right? (I sent Brandon the Rubix Cube in one of his packages months ago as a joke)
Also we had a super cool experience this week with a less active member named Erika. She was baptized about two years ago, was active for about 6 months, and slowly stopped going to church, and now she hasn't been for over a year. But on Thursday we received her baptismal record from our zone leaders, to put in our area book, and we decided to go looking for her. So on Friday we went out, knocked on her door, and she opened the door super surprised. It's always funny to see peoples reactions when they know us. But she let us in, and so we talked with her and her boyfriend, who is also an inactive member. We got talking, and eventually Erika started explaining to us about some of the trials she's been having, and started crying saying that it was a miracle that we showed up at her doorstep again, right in her time of need. She was super grateful, and said that now they are going to start going to church again. It was such an awesome experience. It's amazing how the Lord works, all that happened was we received her record out of nowhere one day, and decided to visit her, exactly when she needed it. Its things like that that make the mission so cool. Cuz we talk to lots of people, and knock on lots of doors. But what makes all the hard work worth it is when you find the people that the Lord has prepared to you. Honestly there is nothing cooler than that.

Q: What time do you have to be in your house at night? What time does it get dark now?
A: We have to be home at 9:00, or 9:30 at the latest. It's dark right now, and I think it starts getting dark at about 6:00 or 6:30.
Q: Is it scary at night walking around? Or do you feel safe? Do you walk at night or taxi?
A: No it's not scary. Under any other circumstances it would be mega sketchy. But as a missionary I've never ever been concerned. Haha all we do is walk. Taxi is only to go mega far, but in our area we walk and walk and walk.
