Not a whole lot that went on this week. Last Monday we went out to Quiriza with President Dyer as a zone, so that was fun. President Dyer served as a missionary in Quiriza about 50 years ago, he was one of the first missionaries to open up Bolivia, so we got to hear a lot of his cool stories. He was able to meet Spencer W Kimball (at that time he was the President of the Quorum of the 12) and his Mission President then was Richard G. Scott (current Apostle), so he had some really awesome experiences. We hiked up a little canyon there too, so it was a fun day.
We did finally catch a break this week as well, and we got permission to baptize one of our investigators, so this Saturday we will have a baptism! She is a 16 year old named Kasandra, and she is what we refer to as a "golden investigator" here in the mish. Someone who was just ready for the Gospel and wants to do everything they can. We've been teaching her for months, she has a testimony that the church is true, she goes to Seminary every day at 6 am, she goes to church every Sunday, I mean she just does everything. She is more faithful than a lot of members haha. But because she isn't 18, we have to have permission from her parents, who are NEVER home. But we were finally able to meet with her mom and talk to her, and she gave Kasandra permission, so we have the green light now!
And other than that, its time for our monthly trip to Cochabamba. We leave Tonight for Potosi, then at about 4 am we'll head to Sucre, and then fly into Cocha at about 10 am. So it should be a long crazy week of running around, wish us luck!

So I forgot to mention that apart from the trip out to Quiriza with President Dyer, we also went out there again during the week. We went out to help do some service (shucking tons and tons of corn, it was a party). But what made it sweet is that we also got to help kill a pig, gut it, chop it up, and cook it! From beginning to end, a living pig, to a plate of food, it was pretty crazy, but cool! So here are some pics from our butchers table. We killed it the night before, then the next morning we got to work cutting it up, and man was it cold! Hence the jacket and hood and all that. But it was fun!

Q: When do you travel back to Tupiza? Are there things that you look forward to when you make this trip? Is there a fun part or good food or someone you get to see?
A: We'll get back in to Tupiza at about 4 am Friday, if all goes according to plan! I do like some parts of it, it's nice to go to Cocha and go to like Supermarkets with tons of stuff (they have MTN DEW!) and there's this gigantor outdoor market called the Cancha where you can get literally anything you want, so that's cool. And its fun to see some friends in the Leadership Council and all that. And all the ZLs from outside Cocha get to go out to eat at restaurants and stuff, so its not all bad, its got an upside too!
Q: Do you think you’ll be staying put this transfer again or shipping out?
A: I will definitely be staying here. If anyone gets shipped out, it will be my comp, we've been together since the beginning of February! But he is super cool, so honestly I hope we stay put on more time!
Q: Bolivia is going into winter? So what does the weather do now?
A: The weather doesn't change that much, its just cold! In the mornings, super cold. During the day, sunny and hot. At night, cold. Rinse and repeat.
