First Week in Tupiza

First off, 16 months today!  That's actually quite a bit!  Still got awhile to go, but time is winding down, I'll be back in no time!

Officially bagged my first week here in Tupiza, and things here are awesome.  We have a lot of really awesome investigators, and tons of them show up to church.  Last week we had 11 in Sacrament Meeting, and this week 7, never had numbers like that in my mission before.  Tupiza is definitely different than Cocha.  The people are a lot more open and friendly, which obviously makes our jobs a lot easier.

Yesterday we had our Branch Presidency reorganized, so President Dyer had to drive out here to reorganize it.  It was cool, cuz we got to eat lunch with President, talk for awhile, then he went and had interviews with the new presidency.  Then we got to eat dinner with him again, and he came to church with us the next day, so it was cool to have him out here for the weekend.

Really not much that's like way exciting to report on, just here, being busy.  We get SO many phone calls its nuts.  Other ZLs that call, our zone that calls us, we have to make calls to others and to the Secretaries of the mission to ask for the stuff that our zone needs, etc etc.  So basically our phone is just as tired as we are haha.

I'll send some pics of Tupiza today.  Last Monday we hiked up a big mountain that overlooks the whole city, which isn't very big at all.  But its looks really cool.

A couple things here, not sure why this pic turned out so bad and unclear,
but whatever.  Second, yes I was sweating like a beast, it was a nasty hike
to get up there, so don’t judge!  But this is most of Tupiza, and behind me,
crossing the river, is my area.

Q: What is the big water pond used for in the middle of the pic? 

A: That pond is actually a big dirt field haha. 

Q: The city looks cool.  The building look like they are normal, not poor.  Yes?  Or are there areas that are?

A:  The buildings are normal, it's a really nice little place.  There are some poor places, but overall its not too bad.

Q:  Where do you live in the pic?

A: See the soccer field in the background, by the river?  Go up from that about 3 blocks and I live there.
