From Sucre!

Hey everyone, coming at you from Sucre today!  This Wednesday is the Leadership Council in Cochabamba, so we are traveling once again.  Normally we would leave Tupiza tonight, and get to Sucre bright and early and head right to the airport.  But we were informed Saturday night that the Miners in Potosì were organizing road blocks for Sunday (last night), blocking off all roads in and out of Potosi, meaning we wouldn't be able to make it to Cocha.  So we had to pack up our stuff Saturday night, and Sunday morning headed to the bus terminal to catch a bus to Sucre, so that we could beat the road blocks.  Crazy right?

So Yesterday we left Tupiza at 9:30 am, and made it here to Sucre at 6 30 pm.  That's right, a 9 hour bus ride!  Needless to say, it was not funnest time I've ever had.  It was a long ride, and by the end I was just losing my mind haha.  And its not like the nice buses we usually take, those buses only leave at night.  So we were in like a normal bus.  Not like a school bus or anything, but it wasn't nearly as nice as the other ones, so that added to the fun.  Add the fact that we only ate bread and crackers for breakfast and lunch, and you have a nice recipe for some good times haha.  Welcome to being a traveling missionary.  Now we leave for Cocha tomorrow, and make the trip back to Tupiza on Thursday!

Honestly apart from that it was a really normal week.  Not a whole lot going on.  The work is a little slow for us, mainly cuz we are always running around the whole country and rarely in our area, so that makes it tough.  But things are still good, and I still love Tupiza, the traveling is just getting a little much now haha.

Q&A Time

Q:  Your 9 hour bus travel sounds crazy!!!  And on bread and crackers?  That’s rough!  Did you bring your checkers?  Uno?

A:  No, but I did have Sudoku haha.

Q:  Will you watch Conference at the church?

A:  Yep, we'll be in the church Saturday and Sunday.

Q:  Remind me how many people are in your ward?  Are you a ward or branch?

A:  We are a branch, and on Sundays we usually have about 85-100 people attend.
